A&O Accidentally Books Chris GetHard, Local Evanston Porn Star
Much to the excitement of many Northwestern students, A&O Productions announced last week that comedian Chris Gethard would fill their spring speaker slot. Last night at the event, however, it became abundantly clear that A&O Productions had made a terrible booking mistake. Instead of Chris Gethard, students were shocked to find local Evanston porn star Chris GetHard on stage.
GetHard is known for his work on Northwestern- and Evanston-themed adult films like Morty Scha-pee-on-me, Fuck Me in Norris, Buffalo Hoes, and Lou Malnati’s Deep Dick.
After the student opener’s wholesome standup set about CTECs, GetHard came onto the stage with a fully prepared PowerPoint, complete with extremely graphic images of some of his best work.
He arrived with a plethora of interactive props and even invited audience members on stage for a part of the presentation in which GetHard demonstrated his trademark position, “The Reverse Wildcat.”
A&O president Eileen Joyce, a Communication junior, told us that the mistake unfolded when A&O’s talent team Google searched Chris Gethard. Based on the porn star’s popularity with online audiences, GetHard was actually the most popular search and appeared at the top of the results list.
“Because of the similar spelling and background in acting, we thought we were contacting the comedian,” Joyce said. “But honestly, GetHard was great. Definitely one of the most prepared speakers A&O has ever had. We barely helped him at all. The lights, the presentation, the interactive aspect--that was all him.”
Joyce said GetHard was so excited when A&O originally contacted him, they didn’t have the heart to tell him about the mistake.
“I am eternally grateful to Northwestern and A&O Productions for this opportunity--I love getting out there and meeting fans ” said GetHard on being approached by A&O. “I mean, I’m a busy guy, but I’ll stay as long as needed for every audience member to get a free meet-and-greet, autograph, and photo after the show!”
“No one took advantage of the photo-op,” Joyce told reporters, shrugging.
