(modified, via Shreveport-Bossier Convention) CLEVELAND — Just as audience members thought the show was coming to an end, the ten contenders at the Fox News Republican Debate were joined on stage by professional dancers as they ripped off their suits and ties and broke out into song and dance.

The candidates, who ended the show dressed in glittering gold garb, had reportedly rehearsed the number for weeks leading up to the debate.

“Oh, splendid!” exclaimed audience member Diane Crawley when asked about the debate. “Four stars out of four! I was laughing the whole time!”

Candidate Chris Christie of New Jersey seemed to be a crowd favorite, effortlessly executing perfect back handsprings and front flips. The crowd went wild after his stunning routine.

Audience member Andrew Marion described the number as a “perfect end to a perfect performance.”

The song used in the performance was Queen Latifah’s “When You’re Good to Mama,” a song which, allegedly, Fox News was not licensed to use.
