I Know He Doesn’t Have To, But If Jeff Bezos Could Fix Income Inequality That Would Be Really Really Cool of Him

I know Jeff Bezos--founder and CEO of Amazon--is a really busy guy developing the next big thing in technology, and I know that innovating and expanding the horizon of human civilization with products like Amazon Prime and the second generation Amazon Echo can be very tiring, but if he used some of his hard earned 143.1 Billion dollars to fix income inequality that would be super duper cool of him.

I mean by no means does he have to, and I don’t want to put pressure on him since he’s probably already very busy making tough important decisions about the treadcount of Amazonbasics microfiber set sheet, but there are a lot of homeless people in the San Francisco bay area right now, who can’t even afford the echo dot, and It would be really really cool if they had some homes. The homes could even be furnished with Amazon products.

But I completely understand if he doesn’t, like if someone has a really really good idea like the Amazon Kindle Fire, and they make a ton of money working really hard on that good idea then that money should belong to that guy. I don’t want to discourage the entrepreneurs in our society from innovating with products like the UberEats, the 2018 Tesla Model S, or Earbuds with no wires, so this whole fixing income inequality is completely optional...but it would be really cool.

In fact it would be like the coolest thing anyone did ever. There would be a big parade across the city with a giant banner that said “Thank You Jeff Bezos for Fixing Income Inequality” there would be a large balloon of Jeff and a Marching Band and everything. Everyone would think Jeff Bezos is so cool that they would decide not to cancel their Amazon Prime free trials.

In summary, it’s totally optional, and he doesn’t have to if he doesn’t want to, but if Jeff Bezos could fix income inequality, and maybe--like no pressure at all and he can say no--but maybe pay like a little bit of his federal taxes, which I know are oppressive to a brilliant mind like his, that would make him the coolest cat in my book.
