So Cute! Chris Evans Dressed Up as Captain America And Visited a Woman in Active Labor To Promote “Civil War”

Promoting the newest installment of the wildly successful Captain America franchise, Chris Evans suited up on Monday to pay a visit to Englewood Hospital in New Jersey and met with patient Christina Moreno, who was in active labor at the time. Evans, who is currently on an international press tour for Captain America: Civil War, was reportedly made aware of Mrs. Moreno’s dire situation 15 minutes earlier when he saw her being rushed to the emergency room on a stretcher, and decided to use the opportunity to give her an unforgettable experience. Moreno, a 35 year old Colombian mother of 3, was clenching her teeth in excruciating pain when Evans, dressed as the Star-Spangled Avenger himself, burst into the delivery room shouting “Divided we fall! May 6th! Who’s side are you on?!”, and started doing somersaults into the various medical equipment placed throughout the room. When asked about what motivated him to perform such a feat of heroism, Evans, who insisted on being referred to as “Cap”, said “it’s not always about saving the world, sometimes it’s about making one woman’s day better by showing up while she’s giving birth to let her know about the #1 movie in America…we gotta look out for each other.” Dr. Paul Sutton, the OB-GYN on staff at the time, was reportedly impressed with the lengths the star went to put a smile on Moreno’s face, noting that “there’s a lot of security to prevent things like this from happening…he showed a blatant disregard for the law.” The news of the Evans’ good deed spread quickly when a video depicting the actor wrestling a keycard from one of the nurses and using it to enter the thoroughly sanitized delivery room went viral on YouTube, garnering more than two million views. In the video, Evans can also be heard describing to the nurse the rigorous training regiment he went through to get in shape for the upcoming star-studded action vehicle, which he claims “really changes everything for Cap and the gang”.

Evans was later escorted out of the hospital by security, his pockets overflowing with various Civil War buttons and posters, all the while rambling on about how cool it was to reunite with director Anthony Russo again for the third film. At press time, Robert Downey Jr., who co-stars with Evans in the upcoming Summer blockbuster, had reportedly been seen visiting murder victims at the Pacific Alliance Medical Center dressed in full Iron Man attire.
