Maybe it was the life-sized cardboard cutout of Gerard Way in our childhood bedroom. Maybe it was the old eyeliner we found in the bathroom cupboard that we used to make ourselves look like Gerard Way. Or maybe it was the long days spent doing nothing but reading tumblr fan fic about a Gerard Way cardboard cutout coming to life.
